All business owners, regardless of ethnicity, gender, or M/WBE certification status, are strongly encouraged to participate in the study. This includes subcontractors, subconsultants, or suppliers that have done business, or attempted to do business with prime firms that submit bids, quotes, or proposals on SCS contracts. Your comments and/or recommendations may be used to modify current procurement policies or establish a M/WBE Program.
MGT conducted three (3) public meetings between November 15 -16, 2016. During the public meetings, MGT gathered valuable input from business owners on their experiences doing business or attempting to do business with SCS or its prime vendors. The presentation introducing the disparity study to attendees is provided below.
Area business owners, both M/WBE- and non-M/WBE, may still provide information about their experiences doing business, or attempting to do business with SCS by submitting written comments to the Contact Us page or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Input gathered during the public meetings and any written comments received will be analyzed as the basis for recommendations on how to modify the SCS procurement policies or any future development of a M/WBE Program.
ADDITIONAL ANECDOTAL DATA COLLECTION
During the course of the study's research, business owners will be randomly selected to participate in additional anecdotal activities. Businesses may be contacted to participate in:
- In-depth interviews (invitation only)
- Surveys (invitation only)
